USciences Honored for Excellence in Interprofessional Education

The United States Public Health Service (USPHS) and the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) have selected USciences as the recipient of the 2020 Excellence in Interprofessional Education Collaboration National Award.
This award is given to a team of health professional students and/or faculty whose work has significantly impacted the community. The winning project, titled “An Interprofessional Approach to International Outreach Experiences” was a collaboration between Pharmacy and Occupational Therapy faculty and students who worked together to treat patients in need during a medical mission trip to Guatemala.
The Public Health Excellence in Interprofessional Education Collaboration Award was established to acknowledge and celebrate outstanding multidisciplinary efforts to impact community health. Honorees will be recognized during a ceremony in Washington, DC in June 2020.
