USciences Hosts Weekly Virtual STEM Talks and Activities

USciences undergraduates are invited to a series of virtual STEM Research talks and activities being organized by USciences’ Center for Undergraduate Research and Institutional Advancement, in collaboration with the Franklin Institute and Snider Hockey Foundation.

The online events - part of "Sparking STEM Explorations and Connections, will run via Zoom on Tuesdays and select Thursdays, from July 14, 2020 through Aug 16, 2020 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Participants include USciences undergraduates and select high school students. USciences undergraduates are welcome to attend and listen to the short undergraduate research talks by USciences undergrads and faculty.Virtual tours of select research labs - at university and commercial locations, as well as a Science Communication Workshop are being arranged. 

The first session  July 14, 2020 featured Dr. Christopher Janetopoulos (Biology) and new graduate  Andrew Ring, who spoke about cell migration; video recordings of talks are available on the program website. Another session featured Dr. Patrick Davitt (Kineseology) and new graduate David Mitchell. The  program website showing programming is at //sites.google.com/usciences.edu/cur/collaborations.
